“See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”
John 5:14
Verses from the Bible have always been big consolation and guidance to me. This blog is one that I maintain as my Bible study notebook.
“See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”
John 5:14
‘You must be born again.’
- John 3:7
Be born again every single day. Seek the direction of holy spirit in your lives , repent for your everyday inequities and be born again in spirit everyday.
He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.
John 2:23
Christ - My Shepherd ; My Savior !
Everytime I deviate from his will for me in life I feel this correcting love that leads me back on path.My Shepherd who goes in search for the lost sheep. My shepherd who is genuinely concerned about the smallest of the small , the poorest of the poor , the weakest of the weak - his love for me is so pure , his path for me is so clear !
I've disowned him multiple times and wearily drifted off to the ways of the world with a hardened heart and selfish thoughts; but receive the correction needed to continue my life in grace and love for me.
“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” - Mark 14:38
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
- Mark 11:24-26
“Everything is possible for one who believes.”
Yes everything is possible for one who believes !
- Mark 9:23
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself. “ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
Two Blind Men Receive Sight
As Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him. Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”
The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”
Jesus stopped and called them. “What do you want me to do for you?” he asked.
“Lord,” they answered, “we want our sight.”
Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.
If we ask of God to give us clarity of vision to see what's happening around or in our lives he would definitely grant us his wisdom to see things the way he sees ! Amen !
Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants.Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Whoever has ears, let them hear.” Mathew 13 :3-9
“Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”
Mathew 13-18-23
" But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"
- Mathew 9:6
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you
falsely on my account.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted
the prophets who were before you.

The season of Lent is here , a time of the year that we can use to nourish our soul by growing closer to Christ, spending more time in and for the Gods Will in our daily lives.
A verse from today's bible reading !
"The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire." - Mathew 3:10
Let us resolve to use this time for producing some good fruit in Christ.
Happy beginning of lent !
