Welcoming a New Year in Christ !!!

Happy New Year 2014 - When I was thinking of the first thing to do this new year - what came to mind was reviving this long sleeping ; almost dead blog - somewhat a reflection of my spiritual being.

Introducing the Holy Epistle of St.James  - a practical guide to a  living Christian faith.
A short book of 5 chapters , the epistle of St James has a lot of Practical steps to be followed to grow and mature in Christian Faith.

1. Blessed is the man who endures temptation ; for when he has been approved he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.Let no one say when he is tempted , " I am tempted by God ", for God cannot be tempted by evil , nor does he himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. (James 1: 12 - 14 )

2.So then , by beloved brethren , let every man be swift to hear , slow to speak and slow to wrath ; For the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls( James 1: 19-21 ).

3.But be doers of the word, and not hearers only , deceiving yourselves. ( James 1: 22). For as the body without the spirit is dead , so faith without works is dead also. ( James 2 : 26 )

4. My Brethren , let not many of you become teachers , knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgement . For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word , he is a perfect man , able also to bridle the whole body.

Stopping with these for now ; have a  blessed year ahead !
